Foundation quantities and reinforcement schedules

Select the structural elements calculated in your project, set the number of units and review concrete, formwork and steel totals by element and foundation type.

Open the tool

The app and these introductory pages are available in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

What it organizes

  • Select calculated elements and adjust the number of units.
  • Review concrete, steel and formwork totals by type and individual element.
  • View bar positions, diameters, lengths, masses and schematic sketches.
  • Generate documents and export Word, Excel/XML, XML and DXF files.

What you enter

  • Reinforced pile, pile cap, footing and caisson calculations available in the project.
  • Selected elements and an integer number of units for each calculation.
  • Project and responsible professional identification used in the documents.

What you receive

  • Element counts, concrete volumes and side-face formwork areas for pile caps and footings.
  • Net steel mass, steel mass with a 10% allowance and steel consumption in kg/m³ of concrete.
  • Bar schedule and diameter summary with lengths, bar counts, positions and sketches.
  • Print/PDF document, Word (.docx), Excel/XML spreadsheet (.xls), XML and a DXF schedule.

References and limits of applicability

  • ABNT NBR 7480: reference for the steel unit-mass table used in the bar schedule.
  • Detailing criteria from the source structural calculations, including ABNT NBR 6118 for Brazilian cases. Review the standard and assumptions actually used for each element.

Checks and considerations

  • Calculate and review the source elements before consolidating materials; the quantity summary does not approve the structural design.
  • Review repeated units, bar positions, lengths and detailing assumptions before using totals for purchasing or cost estimates.
  • The 10% allowance is a product estimate. Formwork covers pile cap and footing side faces; prices and other materials are outside this tool's quantities.

How it works

The tool combines data from structural calculations for reinforced piles, pile caps, footings and caissons. It multiplies quantities by the selected number of units and consolidates bars by diameter, length and position from the source detailing. Steel mass comes from bar lengths and the registered unit masses, with separate net mass and a total including a 10% allowance for estimated waste. Formwork covers the side faces of pile caps and footings; the kg/m³ indicator represents steel consumption per concrete volume. Design and checks belong to the source tools and require review before issuing documents.

Example of use

With one footing and one pile already calculated in your project, select both and set the quantities to two footings and four piles. Review the total of six elements, concrete volumes by type, reinforcement positions and net and waste-inclusive steel masses before generating the document.

Frequently asked questions

Which elements are included in the quantities?

Reinforced piles, pile caps, footings and caissons with calculations available in the project. Select the elements and set how many units of each to include.

Does the steel total include waste?

Yes. The schedule distinguishes net bar mass from mass with a 10% allowance for estimated waste. This allowance is a tool assumption and should be reviewed for the project.

Can I generate documents and spreadsheets?

The screen offers printing to PDF, Word, Excel/XML (.xls), XML and a DXF schedule. Review calculations, quantities and detailing before issuing or sharing the files.

Generated documents

These documents are assembled within your project using data from the corresponding tools.

  • Concrete, formwork and reinforcement quantities — Determine concrete volumes, formwork areas and steel masses from the structural designs of piles, pile caps, footings and belled caissons, with recalculation of the members and reference to NBR 7480 for mass per unit length. Review quantities, allowances for waste and assumptions; export to PDF, Word, Excel/XML (.xls), XML or DXF. Pricing is not included.
